Quotes of Quarterfinals

Recurve Men   Marco GALIAZZO (ITA) It was not an easy game. Korean guys are good rivals, but I like to play in cold weather. The crowd's very good.   The changes are exactly what we tend to adapt well, different fields and different competitors. We have got used to this kind of life. It’s been good.   Simon TERRY (GBR) I’m happy about my game. For sure, you always want to have a good result, but it was a good battle, and we are planning more to the 2012. That’s the major concern at this moment. I’ve been in a better form this year. For me, win or lose is not the most important thing. It’s more about enjoying the game.   Even with the home crowd, I can still focus on the game, because they are sitting back side when we are shooting.   Allen WILLS (GBR) I didn’t have any pressure at all, given I got in the game with a wild card. I believe I can compete with any top players in the world. I’m getting better; I can feel that. As I have been in medication for 18 months, what I’m trying to do is to put my weight on, getting my strength back.   I like this new system of sets, and for me I can adapt to it easily. I will shoot in target archery more in the future.  Compound Women   Jamie VAN NATTA (USA) My game was off my pace a bit. I felt really good before the game. I tried to make something happen during the match, but the game was just running a little bit fast for me. I'm alright with the game however. These things happen quite often, ups and downs. It’s all part of the game.   Erika ANCHUTZ (USA) It was my first time in the World Cup Final, and even my first experience this year in the World Cup as well. The venue is exciting, it's a nice city. Compared to the Universiade or junior championships I've experienced before, this one was more difficult, of course. The players are the best of the best. That makes me really excited.   At least we still have another US guy in recurve. So let’s hope to not put all anticipation on me.   Andrea GALES (GBR) It's been the closest match I've ever had in my career so far. I had the similar experience in 2008 under the new system, but not that close. A great match indeed! My family and friends are on the stand, which is an extra motivation for me. They have been doing great cheering. This is the first time my dad is coming to see me shoot.   The weather today is much better than yesterday, with no wind, which is the major concern in compound archery. There are so many things going into my head, my shots have to take care of themselves today!   Katharina DZIACKO/ HUANG Xing Xing
