Archery activities in Cameroon Lausanne – 4 November 2011   The Cameroon Shooting Federation recently concluded their national archery championships in the presence of the Minister of Sports and Physical Education, the President of the National Olympic Committee who is also the President of the International Military Sport Council, the mayor of Obala city and other VIPs.   Audrey Carinne TCHAPTCHET ADIJA was awarded 2011 national archery champion and was given a trophy for all that she achieved so far. The national archery team then planned to attend the All African Games were taking place in Maputo, Mozambique. Unfortunately archery is not included in the programme yet and it was deeply regretted by the team.

The Cameroon Shooting Federation is planning to host a level I technical course sometime in January 2012, with the participation of 30 coaches from 10 different regions. The course will be conducted by Paul ZINSOU, World Archery Development Agent.   In Cameroon, archery is a patrimonial discipline that the Director of the National Institute of the Youth and Sports registered on the programme of sports to be taught to the students.   Within the framework of the promotion and of the popularisation archery in Cameroon, the FECATIR signed a protocol of partnership with the Training Centre of Football "Olympic Seed".
