She is one of Great Britain’s Paralympic medal hopefuls this year.   Philippa “Pippa” BRITTON is one of the most successful British para-archers. Her outings at World Championships have proved fruitful and certainly augur well for London. In 2011, she helped Great Britain take the team silver in Turin. At the previous two World Para Archery Championships (2009 and 2007), she came away with two team golds. Moreover, BRITTON had also won two individual World Championships medals in the early years of her competitive career: a silver in 2001 and a bronze in 2005.

During the Turin World Championships, Pippa BRITTON was elected by her peers as a member of the World Archery Athletes Committee.

Pippa is one of the British Paralympic hopefuls this year. This will be her second Paralympic experience after the Beijing Games, where she went all the way to quarterfinals—she lost at that stage to compatriot and eventual bronze medallist Melanie CLARKE.
