Classifier Seminar - Training workshop to be registered WA ICC

The programme is specially designed for physiotherapists and doctors actively involved in the development of archery in their home countries and who are already national classifiers for at least two years. The course will provide them with an overview of the rules of classification. The course will take up to 16 hours to complete.

The objectives of the course are:
• To provide physiotherapists and doctors with a better understanding of classification• To master the skills and techniques of classification • To learn about the assistive/adaptive equipment permissible and the rules guiding the parameters of these equipment• To work with International Classifiers and their archery federations effectively for better service to para-archeryUpon completion of the course, the candidates would be able to contribute to the para-archery as International Classifiers Candidates. Their knowledge in classification and the appropriate adaptive/assistive equipment would also be enhanced.

As interested and committed International Classifier Candidates, they would be invited for selected events and would eventually be invited to be International Classifiers.
For this coming event in Bangkok, there are classification opportunities on 30 October and 31 October, prior to the Para World Championships as well as during the events after the ranking rounds. All candidates are invited to stay and observe the classification process and may have a chance to do some actual classification under the supervision of the Chief Classifier. This classification experience will assist in their eventual invitation into becoming International Classifiers. This is totally voluntary and at their own costs and arrangement.
Anyone interested in attending the Classifier Seminar should write to Raheleh AHADPOUR @ rahadpour@archery.org including scanned copies of their professional certification, national classifier certificate as well as a recommendation letter from their national archery association before 25 September 2013.
