Launch of Rio 2016 Olympic Solidarity Scholarship Programme
Following the first cycle of training camps and assistance provided to the archers in view of the 2014 Youth Olympic Games, the World Archery Development Department is happy to announce to all its member associations that the same process will be applied for Rio 2016.
Jointly with the approval of Olympic Solidarity and National Olympic Committees, our Development Department will organise training camps during continental qualifications and championships.
National federations should contact their National Olympic Committees to submit the applications and plan for archers who require assistance at home or abroad to prepare for the Games. The Rio 2016 Scholarship Programme starts in September 2014 until August 2016. Therefore, applications need to be submitted as soon as possible.
Additionally, for the archers who require training facilities, the World Archery Partner Centre in Bangkok provides all necessary infrastructures and programmes for their preparation.
