1) Great Britain

The Brits are Val d’Isere silver medalist. Patrick HUSTON, Jordan MITCHELL and Craig MCCREERY take on the States in the semis.

“We are feeling confident, we ranked first by good margin so shooting this final against Italy will be interesting” HUSTON said.

HUSTON – a Wuxi 2013 World Youth outdoor archery champion – was ranked eighth in the individual eliminations. He was knocked out by a silly mistake: “I shot the wrong target face.”

“…but my two teammates are into the finals, which makes me feel better.”

MITCHELL is shooting for gold against Belgium’s Renaud DOMANSKI on Sunday.

“It’s quite interesting shooting with a recurve and a barebow on the same team. It give us different perspectives and can produce quite surprising results,” Jordan added.

Craig is the barebow man. He shot the second best score during individual eliminations and advanced to a final against Italian Alessio NOCETI.

2) Italy

Luca VALENTI, Alessandro NATALI and Alessio NOCETI make up the Italian team. At the last world field champs they finished fourth.

NOCETI is one of the junior men’s biggest surprises. He shot top scores during eliminations after starting the week with a 632 for the 48-target qualification.

Compound archer NATALI was sixth in the individual eliminations, while VALENTI was eleventh out of the junior recurve.

They beat Sweden team by six points, 56-50, to make the final – but will have to overcome a tough test in Great Britain to take gold…

Team finals are live on Archery TV this afternoon. On Sunday, watch the junior and senior individual medal matches – including Croatian compound junior men Mario VAVRO and Domagoj BUDEN, who went to a tiebreaker in their semifinal and will both shoot for the podium in front of a home crowd.
