Icelandic Archery Committee hosts successful technical coaches' course
The Icelandic Archery Committee and the National Olympic Committee hosted this course from 6-17 January 2015 with the support of the Olympic Solidarity.
Coaches from all around the island gathered in the headquarters of the National Olympic Committee and at the archery centre under the expertise of Carlos FREITAS from Portugal.
Two members of the national federation were among the participants, and all enjoyed the friendly atmosphere and were satisfied with the outcome of this great project.
The course was a combination of theoretical and practical sessions with the support of the World Archery coaches’ manual level 1. Carlos FREITAS gave the participants some technical advice on recurve and compound divisions.
Margrét EINARSDOTTIR, President of the National Archery Committee said: “Today we are one step closer than before to help our archers get closer to their goals.”
