Spring Arrows tournament draws nearly 600 to Antalya
A total of 574 athletes from seven countries (Russia, Poland, Germany, Georgia, Estonia, Azerbaijan and Turkey) travelled to Antalya for the first event on the Turkish Archery Federation’s outdoor calendar.
Practice at the 2015 Spring Arrows Tournament took place on Thursday, qualification Friday – before elimination on Saturday and medal matches on Sunday.
World Archery President Prof Dr Ugur ERDENER attended the last day of the tournament.

Turkish compound archers won both gold medals. Antalya 2014 Archery World Cup stage finalist Yesim BOSTAN beat Dilara SEVINDIK 144-142 in the women’s final, while second-seed Samet CAN YAKALI took the men’s final ahead of Emre COMEZ.
A pair of German recurves – so good in 2014 – took silvers.
Florian KAHLLUND, who came fourth at the Archery World Cup Final in Lausanne, bowed out 4-6 to Russia’s Alexander KOZHIN. Natalia LESNIAK from Poland beat Karina WINTER, 6-4, in the women’s gold medal match.
