World Academy of Sport offering scholarships, educational course for youth archers and postgraduates

The World Academy of Sport is making two educational programmes available to archers and sports administrators at the end of 2020.

For young archers aged between 15 and 18 years (other ages may be suitable), an online certificate teaching the understanding and tools needed to achieve results in elite sport is completely free of charge.

Graduates or professionals within federations looking to upskill in sports administration can apply for a scholarship towards a postgraduate certificate run in cooperation with the University of London.

There are five modules, each lasting about an hour. Learning is flexible and students can participate at their own pace. Each athlete receives a downloadable certificate upon completion.

The course is aimed at young athletes aged 15 to 18, particularly those on a high-performance pathway.

Applications must be made by national archery federations only.

The application deadline is 15 December 2020. Each federation can apply for up to 100 licenses, which should be distributed to the most appropriate young archers in the respective country.
