Lim retains SNGLRTY Prize for Precision lead as Nespoli leaps ahead

Mauro Nespoli shoots at the World Cup stage in Paris.

Korean breakout star Lim Sihyeon retained her 16-count lead in the SNGLRTY Prize for Precision rankings despite losing early in eliminations at the fourth stage of the 2023 Hyundai Archery World Cup in Paris, France.

The tournament, which also acted as the test event for the next Olympics, saw the top of the men’s leaderboard rotate.

Brady Ellison dropped two spots from the lead to third, Lee Woo Seok accrued a season-high 99 perfect shots to jump into second and Mauro Nespoli, the eventual fourth-place finisher, pushed ahead in the season-long race to award the most consistently accurate archer on the shooting line.

Archers are ranked on the total number of 10s they shoot in qualifying and eliminations on the circuit.

The two recurve archers that are top after the last event – the 2023 Hyundai Archery World Cup Final in Hermosillo – will each receive an exclusive Archery Edition SNGLRTY watch.

#PrecisionPoint

After years of bubbling potential, Marcus D’Almeida proved he belongs among the world’s best with his first-ever international win at the Hyundai Archery World Cup stage in Paris in 2022. Back in the arena once again in 2013, he faced Lee Woo Seok in the recurve men’s semifinal.

The back-and-forth affair would go the way of the Korean archer, with Marcus eventually taking bronze.

But his opener in the fourth set, a near-perfect arrow sent down the 70-metre range, is the SNGLRTY #PrecisionPoint – and we can’t wait to see more of these in the Olympic venue when the Games in Paris roll around next summer.
