Host nation China dominates team finals at Beijing 2025

Teams Beijing 2025

The host nation China made all eight gold medal team finals at the Beijing 2025 Asian Para Archery Championships – winning six of them.

Para archery competition features two athletes in both team and mixed team, and Chinese pairs won gold in W1 men’s and mixed team, compound men’s and mixed team, recurve men’s and women’s team events.

It wasn’t, however, a day of crushing dominance. China was bested in recurve mixed team, where Harvinder Singh and Bhawna took gold after Gao Zihan missed in the shoot-off.

India also took gold in compound women’s team, with Sheetal Devi and Jyoti coming out on top 148-143, again after a error from China, when Lu Zhang posted a miss in the last end of scoring.

China is the world’s leading parasport nation and has dominated Paralympic medal tables since 2004. Chinese athletes took home the most medals from the archery competitions at both the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games and the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games

Today’s results bode well for para archery’s powerhouse ahead of the upcoming World  Archery Para Championships in Gwangju in September.

Competition Beijing concludes with the individual finals on Sunday.
