APL 7

The Archery Premier League completed the second round-robin phase in Delhi on Saturday 11 October, setting up the climax to the inaugural edition with the semifinals and finals on Sunday 12 October.

On the final day, the Rajputana Royals booked only their second loss of the competition, going down 5-3 to the Chero Archers. Nevertheless, they remain at the top of the table with eight wins and two losses.

The Mighty Marathas were guaranteed second place going into the last day, but still took the win against the bottom-ranked Kakatiya Knights, 6-2.

“I think we performed very, very well,” said Mike Schloesser, one of two internationals on the Marathas’ team. “This was one of our best matches so far. It’s perfect timing, really.”

The Chola Chiefs, already eliminated, closed the day with a 6-0 win over the Prithviraaj Yodhas in a dead rubber match.
