Updated version of World Archery rulebook published following post-Congress revisions
An updated version of the World Archery Rulebook was published on 13 March following regulatory changes adopted earlier this year.
The January 2026 edition of the rulebook introduced a number of important amendments after new regulations were approved during the Congress held in Gwangju. Following the publication of those changes, a further review identified the need for several editorial adjustments and corrections across the documents.
These updates introduce clarifications and wording improvements intended to facilitate understanding and ensure consistency throughout the rulebook. The adjustments do not affect the intent or spirit of the regulations but aim to make the rules easier to read and interpret for member associations, officials and athletes.
To support transparency and help stakeholders follow the updates, detailed documents outlining the differences between the newly published version and earlier editions are available.
The updated rulebook and the documents highlighting the changes can be accessed in the rules section of the World Archery website.
