World Archery, in cooperation with the  World Academy of Sport, is offering partial scholarships to current or retired athletes and professionals working in regional or national archery associations wishing to enrol in the International Sports Management Programme beginning in September 2026.

Two scholarships covering 50% of the course fee and 10 scholarships covering 25% are available for the 2026 intake of the Postgraduate Certificate (PGCert) in International Sports Management, delivered by the World Academy of Sport in collaboration with the University of London.

The globally recognised qualification combines academically sound study with industry-focused learning, giving participants practical knowledge and skills they can apply directly within their organisations while continuing to work.

The scholarship initiative forms part of World Archery’s commitment to supporting the long-term development of the global archery community by helping athletes, coaches and administrators build skills beyond the field of play.

“A sporting career doesn’t last forever, which is why I believe in the importance of a dual career,” said World Archery head of development and education Siret Luik. “Every athlete and coach should invest in their future while they’re still active in sport.”

“The University of London PGCert makes that possible. Its flexible format allows students to balance education with elite sport, making the transition to a new career smoother and more confident.”

Since launching the scholarship initiative in 2020, World Archery has supported several members of the archery community through previous intakes of the programme.

Applications are open until 18 August 2026.

Applicants must hold an undergraduate degree or have at least five years of relevant sports management experience, together with the required level of English proficiency. Candidates’ potential to contribute to the future development of archery will also be considered.
