10 August 2007 - Archery at Lord’s Cricket Ground again!

3 Nations Challenge at Lord’s Cricket Ground! Lausanne – 10 August 2007   On Monday 6 August, Archery made its appearance again at Lord’s as part of the three nations challenge between India, Great Britain and China.   There was a separate women and men’s event and it was a first opportunity to look at how the event might look in 2012. About 200 spectators were present at this early morning event at Lord’s and they enjoyed every minute of the competition.   The winner of the men’s competition was the British team composed of Simon Terry, Al Wills and Larry Godfrey. The women’s team event was won by India composed of Dola Banerjee, Chekrovolu Swuro and Bombayla Devi.    Lord’s has proven that it is the right venue for Archery and FITA hopes to see many more events in the lead up to the Games.    All eyes will now turn to Beijing for the Test Event in Beijing from 20-26 August.
