FITA Judge Seminar in Chinese Taipei on 3-5 July 2008

The scope of this Seminar is to select and train Continental Judges supported by their Member Associations (MAs) and Continental Associations (CAs) for awarding the FITA accreditation.
Venue: Highness Hotel, Taipei
The Seminar will start on 3 July 2008 (at 3:00 pm) and end on 5 July 2008 (at 5:00 pm).
Lecturers and examination board: Morten B. Wilmann, FITA Judge Committee chairman and Dion Buhagiar, FITA Judge Committee member
The Seminar will be conducted in English.
The accommodation rate is USD 80 per person per day – single room, full board.
No Participation fee will be charged to the participant.

Applications for the FITA International Judge Candidate status:
The applicants must possess the requirements listed in art. 5.1 App. 4 (as amended on 28 Nov. 2004) Book 1 (C&R). In particular they must be accredited as Continental Judges and have been accredited as National Judges for at least 3 years, must have an adequate knowledge of English and must have served at least once in a World Ranking Tournament (or a major tournament sanctioned by their Continental Association) with positive evaluation of the chairperson of the judge commission. Application must be submitted to FITA Office according to art. 5.2 App. 4 (as amended on 28 Nov. 2004) Book 1 (C&R): the application (signed by the applicant (the judge), his/her MA and his/her CA) must indicate the personal information of the applicant (name, gender, birth date, nationality), languages spoken, when appointed NJ and CJ, experience at WRT (or equivalent) level.
The participants passing the final examination will obtain the status of “FITA International Judge Candidate”.
The participants must bring with them FITA C&R Book and FITA Judge Guide Book – both available from the FITA webpage www.archery.org – and a magnifying glass.
The Seminar management including airport pick-up will be made by the Chinese Taipei Archery Association, Attn: Mr Chiu, Ping-Kun, Secretary General.
The Seminar will be a combined seminar with Asian Archery Federation for possible accreditation as AAF (Asian Archery Federation) Continental Judge status. Further information will be given by AAF.
Sit-in
There is a possibility of being a sit-in at this seminar, depending on the space available. Registration for sit-in purpose is to be made to bue@nif.idrett.no as per 10 May 2008.
