Archery flourishes in Blida, City of Roses in Spring

In a short time, the city of Blida has become one of the most active places for archery in Algeria. This is mainly due to the continuous commitment and devotion of its newly created league. The latter is driven by a specialist who attended a 1-month coaching course at the FITA Middle East Archery Centre (MEAC).
Mr Abdelkader Benia is a games master who spares no effort to introduce and promote archers in the whole region. For that he has been organising several events: indoor and outdoor competitions with the participation of local clubs and numerous children photo as ell as national media. He livens up training sessions and sets up open doors days of which some are enhanced by the presence of the Algerian Minister of Sports and Youth—who also shot some arrows—of local authorities and a large number of spectators. Mr Benia has even managed to organise an archery exhibition in the centre of town…
