Latina: a sort of Montecarlo for 3D Archery Latina (ITA) – 16 September 2009
They called it “Montecarlo for 3D Archery”. There are two city courses, inside a small green park in the residential quarter “Nascosa”, the newest area of Latina.
The whole town is involved in the event, many spectator are attracted by archery. There is a school in front of the “Archery Village”, and many young supporter are coming, once school is over, to see bows of the Italian national team, the inlaid and embroidered quivers of the Spaniards, the sympathy of the Ungarian team... and we are only at the very beginning of the competition, that see its own center in the “Archery Village”, with place for 40 different exhibitors.
Today Latina is ready to host the forth edition of World Archery 3D Championships, with athletes from 21 countries and 170 participants, that will start the qualifications round on a double course on Thursday.
