Elite para archers from around the world are assembling this week for the Bangkok 2026 Hyundai World Archery Para Series event at the Bangkok Archery Centre.

This is the first Para Series event of the year. It will be followed by an event in Nove Mesto at the end of June, with further events scheduled in Ahmedabad, Santiago and Dubai.

The Hyundai World Archery Para Series brings international ranking events for para athletes under a single banner. The circuit is designed to increase the exposure of para archery, highlighting exceptional talent, the global reach of the sport and the diversity of its participants.

With the Asian Para Games on the distant horizon, Asian squads feature prominently in the line-up, although China are keeping their powder dry for now.

Four of the six world number ones are set to compete in Bangkok – Hanreuchai Netsiri, Rakesh Kumar, Sheetal Devi and Jason Tabansky – underlining the strength of the field.

India are sending by far the largest squad, with 22 athletes across the bowstyles, including Devi, newly crowned World Archery para archer of the year following her world title win last year, as well as Paralympic Champion Harvinder Singh.

Japan, Korea and host Thailand are also well represented on the entry list, while W1 star Tabansky is part of a two-athlete squad from the USA.
