Preview: Inaugural Hyundai World Archery Para Series event gets underway in Thailand
Elite para archers from around the world are assembling for the Bangkok 2026 Hyundai World Archery Para Series event at the Bangkok Archery Centre.
This is the first Para Series event of the year, and will be followed by an event in Nove Mesto at the end of June, and more events in Ahmedabad, Santiago and Dubai (subject to confirmation).
The Hyundai World Archery Para Series ties international ranking events for para athletes under a single banner. This competition vehicle is designed to increase the exposure of para archery, highlighting exceptional talent, the wide availability of the sport, and the diversity of its participants.
With the Asian Para Games on the distant horizon, Asian squads are prominent in the line up, although China are keeping their powder dry for now.
India are sending by far the largest squad, with 22 men and women across the bowstyles, including Sheetal Devi, newly crowned as the World Para Archer Of The Year after her world title win last year, as well as Paralympic champ Harvinder Singh.
Japan, Korea and hosts Thailand are also prominent on the entry list, and W1 star Jason Tabansky is part of a two-strong squad from the USA.
