Pan American gold medallists Grande, Valencia to shoot at World Cup Final

The Pan American Championships gold medal mixed team duo of Matias Grande and Alejandra Valencia Trujillo have been confirmed as two of Mexico's archers to compete at the upcoming Saltillo 2026 Hyundai Archery World Cup Final.

As is customary for being the host nation of the World Cup Final - the sixth time Mexico have hosted since the competition was established in 2006 - Mexico receives one invitation place per category.

Dafne Quintero had already qualified for Saltillo due to her ranking points accrued across the season, joining Antalya 2026 [stage three] winner Andrea Maya Becerra Arizaga in compound women - therefore making up the maximum two spots for Mexico - as did Ana Paula Vazquez Flores in recurve women.

Sebastian Garcia Flores [compound men] was the only other Mexican to have pre-booked his ticket via victory in Shanghai 2026 [stage 2], meaning there were three spots for the country to fill, one each in compound men, recurve men and recurve women.

Grande and Valencia therefore fill the latter two, with recent Santo Domingo 2026 Central American and Caribbean Games runner-up Rodrigo Gonzalez De Alba selected as Mexico's home pick for compound men.

No further changes are expected in the line-up.

Emircan Haney [compound men] and An San [recurve women] are reigning champions from the 2025 Final in Nanjing confirmed not to be shooting in September, as Brady Ellison [recurve men] - who sealed his place in Puebla [stage one] - and Becerra will be aiming to retain their crowns.

The 2026 Hyundai Archery World Cup Final takes place on 12–13 September.
