Pan American gold medallists Grande, Valencia to shoot at World Cup Final

The Pan American Championships mixed team gold medallists Matias Grande and Alejandra Valencia have been confirmed among Mexico’s archers for the upcoming Saltillo 2026 Hyundai Archery World Cup Final.

As host nation, Mexico receives one invitation place per category at the World Cup Final – the sixth time the country has hosted the event since it was established in 2006.

Dafne Quintero had already qualified for Saltillo through the ranking points she accrued across the season, joining Antalya 2026 winner Andrea Becerra in compound women to fill Mexico’s maximum allocation of two places in the category. Ana Paula Vazquez also secured qualification in recurve women.

Sebastian Garcia, who booked his place by winning Shanghai 2026, was the only other Mexican already qualified, leaving the host nation with one invitation place each in compound men, recurve men and recurve women.

Grande and Valencia fill the recurve invitation places, while recent Santo Domingo 2026 Central American and Caribbean Games silver medallist Rodrigo Gonzalez De Alba has been selected as Mexico’s host representative in compound men.

No further changes are expected to the line-up.

Emircan Haney (compound men) and An San (recurve women), the reigning champions from the 2025 Final in Nanjing, have confirmed they will not compete in Saltillo. Brady Ellison, who secured his place by winning Puebla 2026, and Becerra will therefore attempt to defend their titles.

The 2026 Hyundai Archery World Cup Final takes place on 12-13 September.
