KOVAL last qualified archer for Edinburgh

As a recap, the athletes have four World Cup stages in Porec (CRO), Antalya (TUR), Ogden (USA) and Shanghai (CHN) to gather points in the World Cup ranking. Only the top three results count. After Shanghai, the top 7 in the World Cup ranking qualify for the World Cup Final in Edinburgh. They will be joined by a British wild card in all the categories.   With the results of yesterday’s matches and the projections made for tomorrow’s gold and bronze finals in Shanghai, there was a clear cut of the top 7 per category, except in Recurve Women. In this category, there was a four way tie at seventh place between Victoriya KOVAL (UKR), Dola BANERJEE (IND), ZHU Shanshan and Sabrina STRUYF (BEL). The overall FITA World Ranking after Shanghai will break the tie. However the projection made is clear: KOVAL will have a better ranking.   The qualified archers for Edinburgh are below.   Recurve Men: Brady ELLISON (USA), Marco GALIAZZO (ITA), IM Dong-Hyun (KOR), KIM Woojin (KOR), Michele FRANGILLI (ITA), Jayanta TALUKDAR (IND) and Simon TERRY (GBR).   Recurve Women: GUO Faping (CHN), KI Bo Bae (KOR), Victoriya KOVAL (UKR), Deepika KUMARI (IND), Elena KUZNETSOVA (BLR), Justyna MOSPINEK (POL) and YUN Ok-Hee (KOR)   Compound Men: Martin DAMSBO (DEN), Braden GELLENTHIEN (USA), Jorge JIMENEZ (ESA), Sergio PAGNI (ITA), Shaun TEASDALE (NZL), Dietmar TRLLUS (CAN) and Rodger WILLET Jr. (USA)   Compound Women: Erika ANSCHUTZ (USA), Nicky HUNT (GBR), Albina LOGINOVA (RUS), Linda OCHOA (MEX), Jamie VAN NATTA (USA), Sandrine VANDIONANT (FRA) and Ashley WALLACE (CAN)   The eighth archer in each category will be chosen by Archery GB.   The best mixed teams throughout the World Cup season will also go to Edinburgh to shoot against the hosts Great Britain. In Recurve Mixed Teams this is the USA. In Compound Mixed Teams, there is still a race going on. If Mexico wins the final in Shanghai on Saturday, they will go to 1st place. If not, it will be Denmark.   Didier MIEVILLE World Archery Communication
