Quotes of Quaterfinals

Recurve Women   Naomi FOLKARD (GBR) The wind today definitely made games harder. You can tell some flags swung to left, others got different direction. It was difficult to your shot. I’ve played in front of home crowds before, they are simply amazing, but not as big like this. It brings both pressure and encouragements to your game.   When you look back at the game, there are always some moments you would say: I could have done this, and that, but overall, I think it’s a good game.   Victoriya KOVAL (UKR) I was so nervous at beginning of the match. But somehow I tried to find my shooting back later. The wind was not that steady and the atmosphere was really great. My coaching helps me to keep my focus. He’s always trying to do everything to protect me.   Alena KUZNIATZOVA (BLR) I feel good; but very very disappointed.   MOSPINEK Justyna (POL) I was feelling good today. Truly relaxed and I think that everything will be okay. This wind is not very pleasant; but I think that everything will be good.   I am a still tight from the match, happy and overwhelmed!  Compound Men   Shaun TEASDALE (NZL) It`s been a fairly good start for me. The place is interesting, so close to the crowds, and I was kind of nervous about the game at start, I still had a good start, but then I had a couple of misjudged shots. I have not experienced this kind of shoot out before, so it makes my victory so sweet. It`s always been good you can start your world cup with a win. Hopefully, lot more of good things coming.   Chris WHITE (GBR) It`s tough to finish in the first round, but I am still thinking that I was shooting well today. For a start, perhaps a little bit nervous. The atmosphere here is fantastic. This is not my first time to play in front of the home crowds though, but they bring the game with really good stuff. For me, those cheers and screams just made me focus on my game more. Actually, when I practice before the game, I was not that in a really good shape.   Rodger WILLET (USA) Jr It was very intensive and lucky game for me. About that six, it was a bad adjustment to the field. The wind condition was very tricky, that is all about. That was a very intensive game, and there are other few games and shoot outs I experienced before, but never had this kind of quick adjustment. Martin DAMSBO (DEN) This moment is a bad moment to ask a looser. No, it’s fine. We had a great match; a hair influenced by the wind.   Braden GELLENTHIEN (USA) I feel relieved. I’ll get to shoot two more matches and that was the goal.   Katharina DZIACKO / Xingxing HUANG World Archery Communication
