19 October 2010 - Two new world records by Koreans

Two new world records by Koreans Lausanne – 19 October 2010   Two world records were set at 30 metres on the occasion of the 91st National Sports Festival held from 6 to 12 October 2010 in Milyang, Korea.   In recurve men OH Jin Hyek (KOR) scored a perfect 30m round with 360 points and 23 X10s. He beat the previous record held by fellow countryman KYE Dong-Hyun (KOR) since September 2002 (360/17).   In the women's event, PARK So Hee (KOR) also set a new world record with a perfect score of 360/21, six X10s better than YUN Mi-Jin (KOR) six years ago (360/15 in October 2004). PARK So Hee thus put the women's world record above the men's by four X10s before the latter was beaten again later on the same day.   Congratulations to Mr OH and Ms PARK for such great performances!   World Archery Communication
