Olympic Solidarity Scholarships for London 2012

 These scholarships are delivered two years prior Olympic Games in order to help archers make their preparation. The scholarship includes all the travels they may have to do for competitions and training camps to qualify for the London 2012.   The archer granted are: Yavor HRISTOV (BUL), Khatuna NARIMANIDZE (GEO), Jeff HENCKELS (LUX), Begunhan Elif UNSAL (TUR), Matija ZLENDER (SLO), Carina CHRISTIANSEN (DEN), Véronique MARRIER D’UNIENVILLE (MRI), Mark Pinili JAVIER (PHI), Firuza ZUBAYDOVA (TJK) and Gantugs JANTSAN (MGL). All these recipients have chosen to prepare for the London Olympic Games in their own country (except for some tournaments). The scholarship offers a training option in a foreign centre such as the FITA Middle East Archery Centre (MEAC) in Cairo, Egypt.   Best wishes to these athletes in their Olympic venture!   Three other applications are under consideration by OS and FITA.   World Archery Development Department
