First Berlin Indoor Open Tournament
Berlin (GER) – 18 November 2010
The Berlin OPEN will be hold in Berlin, Germany from 17-19 December 2010. It is the first time that the Berlin archery club Bermann Borsig Berlin e.V. organises such an important. With Win &Win as partner there will be prize money for 20,000 Euros.
As of today 235 archers from 16 nations (Austria, Croatia, Denmark, Estonia, France, Germany, Great Britain, Iran, Kazakhstan, Lithuania, Mongolia, Netherlands, Poland, Slovenia, Sweden, and Switzerland) have already registered.
The top competitors from Germany Sebastian ROHRBERG, Elena RICHTER, Karina WINTER, Lisa UNRUH, and Rafael POPPENBORG will show up in Berlin. The whole national team of Poland will also be present as well as some other top international archers such as Peter ELZINGA (NED), Morgan LUNDIN (SWE), Ivana BUDEN (CRO) and Patrizio HOFER (SUI).
The competition will be hold in four categories (recurve men and women, compound men and women). The athletes will shoot a qualification round of 60 arrows at 18 metres. The best 32 archers of each category will shoot in the "Berlin Open" Final for the prize money. All other archers will shoot in a "Second Chance" Final for some material prizes.
The organisers have been working very hard to bring the competition to a high level. The competition will be shot on Danage targetfaces which will set up the quality of the event as well.
