Asian Grand Prix starts in Bangkok Lausanne – 15 February 2011  The traditional first Asian Grand Prix of the year will take place in Bangkok (THA) on 16-21 February 2011. More than 230 archers from 27 countries, including Korea, China, France, Iran, India, Japan, Malaysia and the USA will compete in this World Ranking event.   Probably the biggest "guest stars" at the Asian Grand Prix in Bangkok are the athletes from the French recurve team: Berengere SCHUH, Romain GIROUILLE, Gael PREVOST, Jean-Charles VALLADONT and Sebastien FLUTE (photo).   There are however more big names from the international field such as the double World Cup stage winner in 2006 Qian JIALING (CHN), the double Olympic medallist in 1984 and 2004 Hiroshi YAMAMOTO and the 2008 bronze medallist in Beijing Bair BADENOV (RUS). The likes of Sojeb SHIEK (BAN), Reza ZAMANINEJAD (IRI), CHENG Chu Sian (MAS), Philippe HORNER (SUI), the complete Russian recurve women team and Korean recurve men team makes it definitely a strong panel of contenders at this World Ranking event.   The programme is as follows:   18 February 2011: Qualification Day 19 February 2011: Team Eliminations and Final Round 20 February 2011: Individual Eliminations until Semifinals 21 February 2011: Individual Bronze and Gold Medal Matches & Mixed Team Event   Ø Competition Programme Ø Provisional Entry List     World Archery Communication
