22 February 2011 - HENOEL to compose official music for Torino 2011

HENOEL to compose official music for Torino 2011 Turin – 22 February 2011 Dino HENOEL GRECH (ITA)    Turin artist Dino HENOEL GRECH has been chosen to compose the official music of the World Archery Championships 2011 in Turin, Italy. The composer, who already produced Torino 2008 European Indoor Championships' hymn, will write also the soundtrack for the Opening Ceremony scheduled on Saturday, 2 July 2011 at the Hunting Palace of Stupinigi.   HENOEL—complete name Dino HENOEL GRECH—an electronic-ambient music composer, was born in Turin on 4 January 1976. After some years in many rock, metal and progressive bands of Turin neighbourhood, he moved himself towards a new musical travel, looking for introspective sounds.   From that very moment ambient music is HENOEL’s most keeping dimension: the young talent makes the listener reach new mental universes far from frenetic every-day life. His music uses sounds to get the inner beats of human being and to listen the deep paths of emotion: it merges sounds and evocative images which underline music effects, so it is very hard to place the young artist’s music in a unique musical style. In fact every piece touches several genres such as ambient, world music, electronic, spiritual.   The young artist won the favour of great sports public at the Winter Olympic Games of Turin 2006: he composed the opening tune of RAI (Italian TV channel) transmissions and started a crescendo of success in sports music. HENOEL’s main steps till today have been the soundtrack of a documentary made by RAI and Piedmont Inhabitants.    He continued "sports music production" with the highlights and the opening tune for the Feminine Volley Masters of Montreux, Switzerland in June 2007. He came to archery in 2008 creating the official soundtrack for the European and Mediterranean Indoor Archery Championships, which has then been chosen as EMAU (European Archery Association) official anthem.   Torino 2011 Organising Committee signed with HENOEL an agreement for the production of the official musical composition of the World Championships. He will also  compose the soundtrack of the Opening Ceremony scheduled on 2 July at the Hunting Palace of Stupinigi and will exhibit live for the Closing Ceremony on 10 July at Castello Square.   Source: Torino 2011 Edited by World Archery Communication
