Oliver HAIDN new coach for German archers
Lausanne – 2 March 2011
The 40 years old secondary school teacher from Deggendorf in Bavaria is from now on the new archery head coach of the German Shooting and Archery Federation. He himself was successful in sports, as he won the German Championships with his team from FSG Tacherting in the First Division better know as “Bundesliga” and collected medals in the individual competition.
He is the author of several books in theory of movement and training science and served for the German Shooting and Archery Federation and the Swiss Olympic Association in leading functions as a teacher in education of trainers. He worked already closely with several members of the national team in Germany and is husband of Veronika HAIDN-TSCHALOVA, one of the best german archers.
Oliver HAIDN replaces Martin FREDERICK who took the head coach job after the 2004 Athens Olympic Games. The German archers won two individual indoor world titles as well as several other world medals during his tenure.
The Federation now hopes especially to raise the level of results in the Olympic categories.
