Natalia VALEEVA (ITA)
Natalia, congratulations, fantastic shooting today, as you're back in shape! You're the only one to beat the Koreans in the world championships… How are you feeling about your opportunities when we get to Torino?
I think it's good, but this competition was good enough, but not perfect for me. So I will shoot tomorrow.
What would you have to do in terms of training and preparation to get yourself ready and be confident at the world championships?
Like all the time, shooting! I'm doing psychological and physical preparation, and I'm doing the role of a mother because I have three children. So I'm doing many things. But I would like to win another one time.
It would be a fantastic accomplishment, three decades of dominance! Can she do it again against the Koreans, the only one to do it; she has done it twice since 1995. We will see what happens when we get to Torino. Congratulations and good luck!
Thank you, I will try! Ciao!
Larry GODFREY (GBR)
As a member of the British Olympic team, the host nation, you have got the automatic invite and gonna be shooting with some guys you've been shooting for a very long time. How are you feeling about the strength of the team coming at the 2012?
The team we've got around us now is fantastic. We've been working together for quite a long time, building up for London. As the men's team goes, the top guys are still the same team that went to Beijing, so we've got a lot of experience behind us. We were silver medallists in 2007, so I'm confident in our team. We've got a good network behind us now, a good head coach, good staffing, so it's good.
How important is that to have a group that's got the experience? You've worked together for so many years and of course have the Olympic experience. How much value does that bring to the entire team?
Obviously it's beneficial, just because of the experience. We've got lots of years of experience between us. This is gonna help. We've been through a lot of things together, ups and downs. So, yes, we've experienced more or less anything, so it's good to go.
We'll look forward to the Olympics in 2012, but this week we're focused on what you guys accomplish here. Congratulations on a great day and look forward to seeing how you fare in the eliminations!
Thank you very much!
Rahul BANERJEE (IND)
I want to back things up a little bit, back at the Commonwealth Games. It was hosted in your home nation, back in New Delhi. You played exceptionally there; you left the Games as champion. To win that in your home nation, what was that experience like?
It's really great because we were preparing for the Commonwealth for the last two years. Winning the Commonwealth Games things changed not only for me, also for archery, receiving lots of congratulations. Now archery is more famous in India. Whenever we visit anywhere, they all say "Oh, I watched your match and it was a really good match." So that's very important for archery mainly, because in India before archery was not so famous. No one knows, we have to tell archery and then we have to show a bow and arrow, then everyone can understand archery.
So, now you're a rock star at home, right?
Ah ah, a bit, a bit!
Good for you, congratulations! And to get ready and to get your mind set around competing here on the World Cup this year, what has it been like for the past several months?
For the last two months we're preparing for this World Cup mainly. Our target is to qualify in the world championships. So this World Cup is a preparation for us. The three of us we were in the Commonwealth team, and maybe in the world championships also the three will be there, so the team combination is quite good for us. So let's see what happens!
Looking forward to seeing it! Congratulations on your success! We're looking to seeing how you fare this week! Good luck!
Thank you!
