Dominica’s coach graduates from ICECP 2010-2011 session
Lausanne – 24 May 2011
The International Coaching Enrichment Certification Programme (ICECP) completed its second edition in May 2011. This programme certifies national coaches from all sports for the improvement of the coaching structure in their countries. Julien LLOYD BENJAMIN from Dominica participated in the ICECP 2010-2011 edition with the support of the Olympic Solidarity.
The final presentation of Julien LLOYD BENJAMIN's project took place in Lausanne, at the International Olympic Committee (IOC). FITA's Development Department attended that day to support him for his outstanding work, which will contribute to the development of archery in Dominica.
Julien LLOYD BENJAMIN was also elected President of the Dominica Archery Association recently following an executive committee meeting that took place earlier this year.
The first part of his project focused on the changes needed within the national association to restart archery in Dominica, which he successfully implanted. The second part is the introduction of archery in secondary schools for the youth to practice and become familiar with our sport.
FITA's Development Department looks forward to collaborating with Julien LLOYD BENJAMIN and we thank him for his contribution for the development of archery in his country.
