Today is the qualification day for recurve women archers. Compound W1 men are shooting the last two distances of their qualification.
We asked some impressions to people present on the field.
Markéta SIDKOVA (CZE)
I really appreciate the surrounding, it is amazing. It is difficult for us to wait for a long time under the sun. But taking part in these competitions we already know what to expect and so we understand the situation. The atmosphere is great and I am feeling good.
Zahra NEMATI (IRI)
I am enjoying this experience so much! The weather is good, I am shooting very well and I am having fun. What more should I want?
Gabriele FERRANDI (ITA)
This is my first international competition so everything is new to me. I am so excited because this is an important and beautiful experience. Finally I can meet athletes coming from different countries and I can confront myself with them. Obviously there are also negative things, like bad weather and mud, but it is only a matter of adaptability. These are formative experiences that are worthy to be made.
Anna TZICA (GRE)
I like being here, I am glad to be in Italy for the World Para Championship. I see friends and athletes that I usually do not meet. Although here I am under a lot of stress and all the archers are tired. Here the organisation is very very good and I would like to say a big bravo to everybody.
Natalia PAVUK (UKR)
This competition is very important for me and for all the other archers. We need competitions like this one and we like them. Personally I am enjoying it very much and I hope I will win. Or at least I will try to win it.
Eliane SALDEN (NED)
This is a very well organised competition and today the weather is good, so everything is perfect. I am not really happy with my results so far. My goal was to improve my record but I am not sure I will reach it. Anyway I will try to reach my second goal: win the Paralympic quota place for my country.
