Paralympic Qualifications still wide open
Lausanne – 26 July 2011   Register as soon as possible for Stoke Mandeville Final Qualifying Tournament (deadline 1st August 2011!!!!).
There are 2 chances to qualify left for the Paralympic Games in London.
  
• Parapan American Games, 12-20 November 2011 (for Member Associations that are member of World Archery Americas)
• Final Qualifying Tournament in Stoke Mandeville, 5-9 September 2011    
Parapan American Games
   
We will have the Parapan American Games in November where the top ranked archer from the Americas in each event will obtain a place for the London Olympics. This will not have an influence on any of the places in Torino since no one from this continent obtained a place in Torino. In case an American Archer obtains a place in Stoke Mandeville and later on wins a place in Guadalajara the place of the Parapan American Games will have precedence and the place of Stoke Mandeville will go to the next archer from the ranking in Stoke Mandeville.
In case a category is combined in an open event for recurve or for the Compound W1 event, the highest ranked (based on final ranking of the finals round) of Compound W1, Recurve W1/W2, Recurve standing will get the place. If necessary a special 2nd tournament will be organised on the practice field.
 
Places allocated at Parapan American Games
1 Individual Compound Men Open; 1 Individual Recurve Men W1; 1 Individual Recurve Men Standing; 1 Individual Recurve Women W1/W2; 1 Individual Recurve Women Standing.
  
Stoke Mandeville
  
At Stoke Mandeville the following places are still available:

Recurve Men W1/W2 :       11 places
Recurve Men Standing:        7 places
Recurve Women W1/W2:     7 places
Recurve Women Standing:    7 places
Compound Men W1:             6 places
Compound Men Open:        22 places
Compound Women Open:     6 places

These places can be obtained by all Member Associations up to a maximum of 3 per NPC by event.

Only athletes that have not yet obtained a team or individual place for their country at the previous qualifying events can obtain an additional place. For teams this means the actual team members that actually shot the team eliminations in Torino and obtained the team places.

The deadline for entries is the 1st August so please book soon.
