Athlete of the Week: Mahtab PARSAMEHR (IRI) Lausanne – 20 September 2011  The young Iranian compound athlete Mahtab PARSAMEHR, 22 years old, won her first World Cup in June this year. Thanks to her regularity this season—7th in Porec, 1st in Antalya and 4th in Ogden—she has deserved to qualify for the World Cup Final in Istanbul on 24-25 September.   This is the first time an athlete from Iran will compete in the World Cup Final. And PARSAMEHR will not be alone, since her teammate Seyedeh-Vida HALIMIANAVVAL will also be present in Turkey next weekend.   At 22 years old, PARSAMEHR has reached her best World Ranking this summer: 3rd position. After several silver medals in team events in 2010, this year has brought her to the public's notice when she won the World Cup Stage 2 in Antalya.
