New indoor world record for cadet Jesher APPELS (NED)
Almere (NED) – 17 October 2011
On 9 October 2011, the young Dutch man Jesher APPELS, 15 years old, set a new world record for the 18m indoor round in recurve cadet men. This mark was shot at a tournament held in Almere, Netherlands.
At the indoor tournament in Almere, he shot a score of 586 (292 and 294), improving by one point the former world record set by the Australian archer Alec POTTS in July. After beating the world record in the morning, APPELS shot another 60 arrows in the afternoon and equalled the old record of 585.
APPELS, who was born 23 November 1995, had ranked 57th at the Cadet World Championships in Legnica, Poland, last summer.
