Key Points World Archery Indoor Championships Las Vegas (USA) – 5 February 2012   The World Archery Indoor Championships are being held in Las Vegas from 5-9 February 2012.

? Close to 300 athletes from 38 countries will compete at the South Point Resort and Casino.
? Finals will take place in the Equestrian Stadium.
? 16 world champions will be crowned: women’s and men’s individual in Recurve and Compound; women’s and men’s team in Recurve and Compound. The same is valid for Youth titles (U-20).
? In qualifications, archers shoot 60 arrows at a 40-centimeter target face at a distance of 18 metres (only rings from 6 points to 10 points count). The compound 10-ring has only 2 centimetres and the recurve 10-ring has 4 centimetres.
? The top 32 archers of each category will go into match play.
? All individual matches (for recurve and compound) will be played in the Set System, best of 5 sets of 3 arrows.
? The top 16 teams with the highest total score will go into match play.
? The team matches will be played with cumulative scoring (24-arrow match, 3 members per team).
? The championships will be followed by the annual Las Vegas tournament, counting as Indoor World Cup Stage and Final.
? The first Indoor Archery World Championships were held in 1991.
