Shooting the individual final in Antalya
The Russian compound archer Albina LOGINOVA is individual world champion (2009 and 2011) and World Cup Final winner (2010). Last week in Antalya, she won a World Cup stage for the first time.
Albina LOGINOVA has won all the major titles in compound archery – she is the reigning two-time world champion from Ulsan 2009 and Turin 2011, and in 2010 she won the World Cup Final in Edinburgh.
Only missing to LOGINOVA’s name was a victory in a World Cup stage. Se had already placed 3rd three times, in Santo Domingo in 2008, Shanghai in 2009 and Antalya in 2011. Moreover, LOGINOVA had placed several times in the top 8 and was regularly on the podium in the team and mixed team events.
The Russian finally claimed her first World Cup stage last week in Antalya, with a victory in the final against the rising star of compound women archery Kristina BERGER (GER).
So far in the 2012 World Cup season LOGINOVA has been the most consistent archer on the compound women’s side with the 2nd place in Shanghai and the 1st place in Antalya. With these great results she is already qualified to the World Cup Final in Tokyo in September.
