The Mexican recurve women's team
Only the top three teams per gender will earn an Olympic qualification. Therefore, good qualifications on Tuesday, 19 June and a good place in the bracket were important.   Recurve Men Team With 1942 points Chinese Taipei ranked 1st for the Final Olympic Qualifications Team Tournament (that total was good enough for 5th place in World Cup qualifications). On the top part of the bracket, Chinese Taipei will still have some tough opponents such as No. 8 and 9 seeds, Germany and Iran.   The most difficult match of the first round will probably be the one between the No. 5 seed Japan and the No. 12 seed Spain. The winner will go on against the winner of the Mongolia v Brazil match.   Russia finished 2nd among the teams fighting for Olympic qualifications with 1940. This young Russian team just seems to be ready at the right time. However, the job is not done yet. Russia have in the same part of their bracket teams like India, who is seeded No. 3, the Netherlands, seeded No. 6, Australia, seeded No. 7, and Canada, seeded No. 11.   Recurve Women Team Mexico topped the women’s field for the Final Olympic Qualifications Team Tournament. It has on its part of the bracket, the No. 8 seed Mongolia, the No. 5 Germany, the No. 12 Georgia and the No. 4 France.   Japan is the No. 2 seed of this tournament. They will play Iran in the first round.
