26 of 32 World Cup Finalists for Tokyo known


 Yesterday, most of the athletes who performed well in Ogden to reach the week-end final matches were also rewarded with a lot of World Cup points, and therefore a qualification to the World Cup Final in Tokyo on 22-23 September.   As a recap, the top 7 in each individual category (with a maximum of two per countries) of the World Cup ranking qualify for Tokyo. After the eliminations matches through the semifinals yesterday in Ogden, we know 26 of these 28 archers. Only in Recurve Men we miss two names. Four athletes are in contention for these two places. It will be played as such:   -        The winner of the 3rd place match on Sunday between Gael PREVOST (FRA) and Tarundeep RAI (IND) will take a spot -        If Luis ALVAREZ (MEX), who is shooting for 1st place on Sunday, wins his match (against Larry GODFREY from Great Britain), he will move ahead of Markyan IVASHO (UKR) in the ranking and take the second spot   Moreover, the week-end matches of Stage 3 in Ogden can still influence the final ranking among the top 7, therefore the seeds they will have for the World Cup Final.   Here is the list of the qualified athletes at the moment:   Recurve Men: IM Dong Hyun (KOR), KIM Woojin (KOR), Brady ELLISON (USA), Dmytro HRACHOV (UKR), Laurence GODFREY (GBR).   Recurve Women: Deepika KUMARI (IND), CHOI Hyeonju (KOR), KI Bo Bae (KOR), FANG Yuting (CHN), Jennifer NICHOLS (USA), Kristina TIMOFEEVA (RUS), XU Jing (CHN).   Compound Men: Reo WILDE (USA), Braden GELLENTHIEN (USA), Paul TITSCHER (GER), Julio Ricardo FIERRO (MEX), Peter ELZINGA (NED), Dominique GENET (FRA), Pierre Julien DELOCHE (FRA).   Compound Women: Jamie VAN NATTA (USA), Christie COLIN (USA), Laura LONGO (ITA), Marcella TONIOLI (ITA), Albina LOGINOVA (RUS), Kristiba BERGER (GER) and Olga BOSCH (VEN).   World Archery Communication
