Aur ABIDUEV was the gold medal winner in the 2007 World Archery Indoor Junior Championships in Izmir, Turkey. He had placed third in the team competition at the 2008 World Cup stage 2 in Antalya. He was not named among Russia’s contingent for the London Olympics.
Aur ABIDUEV, 22, was killed last week near the far eastern city of Chita by electric shock, Russian police told RIA Novosti. The circumstances that led to his death were unclear.
The World Archery family sends its sincere condolences to Aur ABIDUEV’s family and friends and to the Russian Archery Federation.
