The member of the World Archery Medical and Sport Sciences Committee Carlos HERMES was awarded the “Cruz olimpica por servicios distinguidos” (Olympic Cross for distinguished services) by the President of the Olympic Committee of Guatemala Sergio CAMARGO.
This award was given for the foundation and development of the sport of archery in Guatemala, as well as for the creation and development of the Antidoping Agency of Guatemala and the promotion of the Olympic values among the athletes and coaches of Guatemala.
