Quotes after the team finals

Men’s team
Dave COUSINS (USA) - gold I believe this is a true milestone for USA Archery. This is only our second team world title in the field discipline. Honestly, both in 2006 and this year, I did not believe we would be able to do it. I am thrilled that I was part of these two world champion teams, because there are so many tough opponents out there with a lot of field experience. It is the first field world championships participation for both Jake (KAMINSKI) and Alan (EAGLETON) and they have been shooting superbly! They will be going for double gold tomorrow! Overall, the US medal tally this year should be the best ever and this is also thanks to the performance of our young athletes.   Alan EAGLETON (USA) - gold The 2008 field barebow world champion Rebecca NELSON HARRIS and Ty PELFREY, who is in the team here, have worked on me for two years so that I tried out for a field world championships. I finally said yes and I let my recurve bow (without sight) to take a barebow only five months ago. The trials went well and this week has been terrific. I have been shooting for a long time in the USA but only in individual competitions. Here, the international atmosphere and the spirit in team USA have been incredible!   Women’s team   Tracy ANDERSON (GBR) - gold It was amazing! We were nice and relax despite that the course was challenging. We worked well as team. There is no “I” in TEAM! Naomi (FOLKARD) was always giving me good information after she shot and I was just following my routine. Now we won gold! Amazing!   Ulrike KOINI (GER) - bronze I was not sure how it was going to be this afternoon since I was really not feeling well this morning. Now I can say that I have been able to shoot normally this afternoon and the entire team shot well! It is a super feeling to win a medal with such a team!   World Archery Communication
