This commemorated the 20th anniversary of the Barcelona 92 Olympic Games.   The arrows were shot by two young archers born in 1992, both members of the archery club ARC MONTJUÏC in Barcelona and part of a team of 12 people responsible for coaching and technical assistance.   For a period of four months the team has prepared and coordinated every detail of the flaming arrows' shooting process, conducting all training during evenings, in secret, to keep it as a surprise for the spectators of the ceremony. No detail was left to chance.   Mercè Piromusical 2012 was seen by 120,000 live spectators and 800,000 viewers who watched it on TV. The undoubted success of the Opening Ceremony was the proof and reward of the effort of the whole team of CLUB ARC MONTJUÏC, together with its six archers, six arrows, four bows and two assistants at the night of the event.   Watch the video:   Ø http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xBg5FphlZUM Ø http://www.tv3.cat/videos/4259271/Piromusical-de-la-Merce--25092012     Source: CLUB ARC MONTJUÏC (Barcelona) Edited by World Archery Communication
