22nd year old Pratima Boro has left us this morning
Pratima was at present ranked 6th in the National Ranking and was preparing for competitions later this year. She won a gold medal in the Asian Grand Prix in Teheran in the year 2008. Counted as one of the most talented archers of the country, Pratima recently defeated national champion Dola Banerjee at Visakhapatanam.
The World Archery President, Prof. Dr. Ugur ERDENER and the World Archery Secretary General, Tom DIELEN have upon receiving the news immediately written to the Indian Archery Federation expressing on behalf of World Archery and the entire Archery Family their sincere condolences to the family of Pratima and the Indian Archery Family.
It is a tragedy that a young athlete leaves us so early and we wish everyone in India the very best to surmount this tragedy. Once more our sincere condolences to the Family of Patrima and the Indian Archery Family.
Yours sincerely
Prof. Dr. Ugur ERDENER, WA President and Tom DIELEN, WA Secretary General
