Erika JONES was elected World Games Athlete of the day

During the World Games qualifications on 27 July, the American archer established a new world record for the compound round (2x36 arrows at 50 metres) at 704 points.
On 28 July, JONES won the double crown; first the mixed team final in the morning, together with her teammate Reo WILDE, where they beat the Italian pair Marcella TONIOLI/Sergio PAGNI; then in the afternoon’s individual final, she overcame the Danish archer Camilla SOEMOD.
The day was not over for JONES! The World Games Organising Committee selected her as one of two Athletes of the day together with the Mexican racquetball athlete Paola LONGORIA who also won an individual gold medal that day.
