Founder of Austrian Archery Federation Alois ZOPF passed away

Alois ZOPF was the President of the Austrian Archery Federation for 22 years, running from 1963 till 1985. He also hold the Presidency of the Upper Austrian Archery Federation for 15 years. Besides archery, Mr ZOPF was involved in several other sports and activities, such as 12 years as Chairman of the Salzkammergut Paragliding Club, 10 years as Chairman of the Lake Hallstatt Surf Club, 40 years as Ski School Director of Bad Goisern, and 2 years as Educator in the American Mountaineering School.
Alois ZOPF received the Silver Decoration of Honour of the Republic of Austria that rewards individuals' personal achievement or service to the Republic of Austria. He was also the holder of the Gold Medal of Honour of the Province of Upper Austria in recognition of services to promote the image of the province and better the well-being of the community.
