Expert judges travel to Iraq to share international experience

Led by Morten WILMANN (NOR), President of World Archery’s Judges Committee, and international judges Davood NEMANTINIA (IRI) and Ahmed KOURA (EGY), the course encouraged participants to develop their practical judging procedures and familiarise themselves with the latest rules.

“The seminar was a great chance to gain international experience from the professional instructors,” said Mr Saad AL-MASHHADANY, President of the Iraqi Archery Federation. “We intend to conduct more judging and coaching seminars in the near future, as well as help develop archery in Iraq and other Arab countries by organising international tournaments.”

Countries from the region were invited to the recent seminar, and delegates had accommodation costs covered by the host federation.
