Nimes best match: PAGNI versus WILDE

Four-time indoor archery world champion Reo WILDE made the final, just as he did at Nimes 2003 – the last world indoors in the French town. The States athlete wasn’t best in qualification, but – as usual – he’d deliberately and methodically ploughed through the eliminations.

His opponent: Italian Sergio PAGNI. The only compound archer to have won back-to-back Archery World Cup Finals – at Copenhagen ’09 and in 2010 at Edinburgh – and probably the most experienced and respected person not to have picked up an individual world championships title.

It could have gone either way… but this medal match was a true test of archery mettle. Watch what happened below or on Archery TV, World Archery’s YouTube channel.
