Forty countries registered for Medellin

With Barbados, Belarus, Great Britain and the Islamic Republic of Iran posting initial registrations, Medellin expects representatives from 40 nations at the event in May. That’s 10 more than last year – and well over 300 competitors in total.

World Archery events manager Chris MARSH checked on preparations for the city’s Archery World Cup stage this month. Introducing himself to the Colombian media, he said: “it’s just a pleasure to bring to Medellin a sport that can be practiced by anybody.”

Impressed, he’s confident that the same high level of tournament we saw in 2013 will return to Medellin this year.

At a press conference where top organising committee and city officials reaffirmed their support and excitement at bringing so many countries from around the world to Medellin, the first artist impressions of this year’s finals venue were released:

We’re excited! What about you?
